FAQ & Tips

Do you charge a diagnostics/book in fee? +
Yes, we usually provide a free diagnostics and quote for smaller jobs such as console controllers. However, for extensive problems and other electronics, including display and power-related issues, we do charge a diagnostic fee as finding the fault can take longer and has costs involved. The fee allows us to do our due diligence in fault-finding.
What does it cost to repair and how long will it take? +
We can provide an estimate based on your console issue. However, we can only provide an accurate estimate quote after analyzing your device. This also applies to how long it will take; only an estimate can be given and will depend on the extent of diagnostics and complexity of repair. We always strive to do repairs as quickly as possible while maintaining integrity.
What is Hall Effect or TMR Analogs and is it worth it? +
Absolutely, yes. Hall effect analogs, especially TMR analogs, are theoretically driftless and will not need replacement unless physically broken or liquid damaged. Clients experience 1 to 2 years of drift-free gameplay on average, making it the most economical choice.
Can I customize the design of my controller? +
Yes. We can customize any PS5 and Xbox Series S/X Controller from the available designs that we have in stock. We do not apply stickers. The covers, shells, and buttons are replaced to form the colors and designs that we have to instill quality and durability.

Tips & Recommendations

Yearly Service It is highly recommended to get your console, laptop, or PC serviced yearly. This ensures optimal cooling efficiency to prevent decay of parts and longevity. Heat is the enemy!
Ventilation Position your console or PC in a well-ventilated area to allow heat to escape without restrictions. Do not place in enclosed spaces.
Charging Do not charge gaming controllers with a phone charger. It can damage the battery and charging circuitry. Always use a safe charging dock or charge through the console.
Power When possible, always fully shut down your device rather than keeping it in sleep mode. Every minute it is on, your device ages, circulates heat, and is vulnerable to power surges.

We do not take liability for items damaged in courier transit. Please package diligently.

Estimate Repair Cost Policy

Any repair cost estimates provided are strictly preliminary and may vary based on our diagnostic findings. If your device is sent to us and you request an estimate before proceeding with the repair, please note that the quoted amount is not necessarily final.

Due to the nature of electronic repairs, additional faults or issues may only become apparent once the initial problem has been addressed. For this reason, a final quote can, in certain circumstances, only be confirmed once the repair process is complete.

If you decide not to proceed with the repair after diagnostics have been completed, a diagnostics fee will be charged and the repair will be reversed where applicable.

We will always do our best to accommodate your needs and maintain transparent communication throughout the repair process.

Diagnostics

If repaired devices are not paid for or collected within a maximum period of two months, the items may be sold to recover repair and storage costs, unless alternative arrangements have been made. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate and follow up with you before any such action is taken.

A diagnostics fee of R550 applies to all power-related and display-related issues. This fee covers the time, expertise, and costs involved in fault-finding and PCB-level diagnostics.

This diagnostics fee is only applicable if:

  • The repair quote is declined, or
  • The device is deemed unrepairable.

If the repair quote is accepted, the diagnostics fee will be waived.

Due to the complexity of electronic devices, additional issues may sometimes only become apparent during the repair process. As a result, final repair costs may vary from the initial estimate in certain circumstances.

If you choose not to proceed with the repair after diagnostics have been completed, the device will be reassembled and repairs reversed where possible, and the applicable diagnostics fee will be charged.

We are committed to providing fair service, clear communication, and full transparency throughout the repair process.

A R650 fixed fee will be charged for any cockroach-infested devices before any work or fault-finding is done.

Repairs Warranty

We offer a 3 to 6-month warranty on all our repairs and workmanship, unless stated otherwise. The warranty term starts from the date of completion. This warranty specifically covers the parts that have been replaced and the areas of the device that have been repaired.

Please note that our warranty does not cover follow-up damages resulting from physical abuse, negligence, exposure to liquids, power surges, or lightning strikes.
